McKnight, Piercy, and Jacobs Collection (MS051)
This collection consists of three series related to the McKnight, Piercy, and Jacobs families. In each series there are sub-series of letters, legal documents, and genealogical materials. Contents also include military records, harbor and ballast master papers, an 1849 inaugural ball invitation, and miniature portraits of William P. McKnight and Margaret Jacobs. McKnight correspondence relates to the Civil War.

This collection contains the manuscripts and source notes for A Guide to Alexandria: Alexandria, Virginia, George Washington's Home Town (1966) and Washington Walked Here (1970). The collection also holds several boxes of photographs.
Montgomery Dent Corse Papers (MS065)
The bulk of the collection is related to Montgomery D. Corse's military career, including muster rolls, commission and discharge certificates, and 63 letters written by Corse to his wife, Elizabeth Beverley Corse, during his participation in the Civil War. In addition, the papers of Midshipman William H. Peters and a few letters written by Mrs. Corse are included.
Mt. Vernon Cotton Factory Collection (MS097)
The collection consists of a deed, purchase proposals, business agreements, foreclosure notices, and fire insurance policies for the Mt. Vernon Cotton Factory.
Nicholas Colasanto Collection (MS035)
This collection contains letters, political memorabilia, several programs from various organizations, personal photos, and other miscellaneous ephemera.
North Old Town Independent Citizens Civic Association (MS136)
The collection includes organizational papers, minutes, correspondence, and other materials documenting NOTICe’s formation, relationships to other organizations and various projects and concerns. The Minutes series is the biggest. The set of minutes is fairly complete; however there are occasional gaps where we have only the agenda for a meeting.
Northern Virginia Hotel Corporation Records (MS178)
This collection consists of: correspondence, minutes, bylaws, deeds, financial reports and records, business contracts, building reports, and newspaper clippings. Materials date from 1921 to 1947. The records document the initial planning, construction, and management of the George Mason Hotel.

Parker-Gray Historic District Papers, 1983-1985 (MS268)
This collection contains papers dating from May 1983 to July 1985 and relating to the process of evaluating the Parker-Gray Historic District under the City of Alexandria's historic preservation ordinance. Included are dockets and minutes from Planning Commission and City Council meetings and hearings, correspondence, petitions, news clippings, and meeting agendas/minutes from the Northwest Old Town Civic Association.
