Biography
Daniel O'Sullivan (1828-1904) owned and operated a boarding house, and wholesale grocery on 244 Duke St. and later 414 S. Lee st., and 628 S. Patrick. In his younger years, he worked as a freight agent for the railroad after immigrating as a young boy from Ireland. According to census records, he was living at 721 Gibbon Street, Alexandria, VA when he passed, but was likely living with his daughter, Ella Downey at the time. Earlier census records show him living further east on Gibbon street either where Windmill Hill park is currently, at 121 and 147 Gibbon street.

Account and Note Book, 1863-1892
Contains a single ledger book with business transactions and personal notes of Daniel O'Sullivan. An interesting entry, is a page where he lists his children as the "Alexandria City Council" and lists why they're qualified.
