James S. Hallowell Collection (MS132)
The James S. Hallowell Collection consists of papers from the Alexandria Boarding School (1824 - ?) including: correspondence from parents to the school, minutes, and catalogs. Also in the collection are the regulations and catalogs of the Alexandria Female Seminary (1848-1860). Additionally there are class notes and exercises (of undetermined origin), a report card, and personal diary books from James S. Hallowell and Mary [S.] Hallowell.
St. John's Academy Records (MS004)
The collection consists primarily of student records and student newspapers. There are several miscellaneous items as well. Topics covered include: school organization, rules of behavior, student achievement, student names, places of residence and dates of attendance, and academic subjects and undertakings.

Gardner Collection (MS348)
The collection contains photos of Eulalie Gardner, her circle of friends, family, and students. The photos date from the 1920’s through he 1930’s, with photos of vacationing in Harpers Ferry and the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. A number of historic buildings are featured (the Washington Monument, The Jefferson Memorial, Mt. Vernon estate, the George Washington Masonic National Memorial) as well as shots of the D.C. and Alexandria area.
Old Post Office, Lee School, Alexandria Hospital, and 508 Cameron
This folder contains 4 photos, one of the Alexandria Hospital at 420 Wolfe Street, one of the Lee School at King and Alfred (where White House|Black Market is, currently), the old post office at Prince and St. Asaph (now a parking lot), and a sketch of Washington's Townhouse at 508 Cameron Street in Alexandria.
