This folder contains postcards of Gadsby's Tavern, Gentry Row, Gunston Hall, the George Mason Hotel, King Street, the Lee Boyhood Home, and portraits of Robert E. Lee and Mary Custis.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains around 100 photographs featuring Alexandria residents, events, and organizations. The photos feature early Alexandria fire departments and events such as the Smoot Lumberyard fire, as well as colonial re-enactments, the 1st Virginia Infantry, and the American Legion.

Content Description Reports, minutes, correspondence, and surveys documenting HAF's formation, relationships to other volunteer organizations, and more than three decades of HAF's preservation projects and concerns. HAF also plaqued historic properties, sponsored the Alexandria Antique Show, and funded preservation grants.
